The application starts: The 63rd International Speech Contest in Japanese

The International Speech Contest in Japanese has been held annually since 1960.
It aims to provide an opportunity for people from all over the world to present their views in Japanese and to give both speakers and audience members a chance to think about Japanese and global society.
Unfortunately, the pandemic disrupted the contest, but we are thrilled to announce that the 63rd edition will be held in October 2024 in Odawara, Kanagawa.


Date October 19th, 2024, Saturday. 13:00-
Venue ODAWARA SANNOMARU HALL, Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture
Topic Free, but we decline it about transmission, advertising and unpublished works
Qualifications The following 1-3 conditions must be met simultaneously.

1. Your mother tongue is not Japanese.
2. You are 15 years of age or older on the day of the competition.
3. You have never received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award or the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award in the past.
